Account, Pro and passkeys

How sign-in works without a password.

There's no sign-up. Free features work with a random id kept in your browser.

Pro

After buying, Polar emails you a license key. Paste it into the Pro box or under Account. The browser keeps a signed token for 30 days and renews it with the key.

Passkeys

Once Pro is on, add a passkey under Account. On another device, choose "Sign in with a passkey"; your phone or password manager handles it, and you never paste the key again. Passkeys only store a public key here.

Moving to a new device

Logged keys and watched curators move with your license once you sign in with Pro. On free, they stay with the browser that made them; export them under Account.

Sign out and delete

Account has Sign out, Export my data (JSON), and Delete my data, which removes your logged keys, watches, saved searches and alert channels.
