Search and ranking

How a search finds curators and orders them.

A search looks through the posts I've read from every curator with 200 or more followers: their latest 100 when I started, plus everything since. A curator matches if it recommended one of your games or posted an informational review of it. Not-recommended posts show in the details but don't count.

The order

  • Match. Each of your games it covered adds up to 10 points. A post from the last month counts fully; six months older counts half; a year older, a quarter. Informational posts count 70%.
  • Activity. More posts in the last 90 days add a little, on a log scale.
  • Followers. More followers add a little, on a log scale: 100,000 counts for more than 1,000, but not 100 times more.
  • Warning signs. Each point takes 6 away. Three or more points hide the curator unless you tick "Show curators with several signs".
  • Publisher pages. A developer's or publisher's own curator page loses 6; it rarely reviews other people's games.
  • Verified curators taking games gain 3; those not taking games lose 3.
  • Logged keys. A curator that posted about half or more of its decided keys gains 4.

Match dots

With two or more games picked, each row shows one square per game: filled when the curator covered it, lighter when that was over six months ago, an outline for an informational post.

Free and Pro

Free shows the top 5 by name and the next 8 without names, so you can see their followers, signs and recency. Pro shows every match by name and adds a CSV of the whole list.
